WHAT ARE THEY?

Buttock augmentation, or a Brazilian Butt Lift, lifts the buttocks to higher position, adds volume, and enhances its shape by transferring excess fat from other parts of your body to your buttocks for a more feminine and esthetic appearance. The butt is first contoured by performing liposuction in the areas around the buttocks (abdomen, back and thighs) to make the buttocks stand out more.  The healthy fat obtained through liposuction is then processed and strategically placed into the buttocks to add volume, shape and contour. AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR BUTT IMPLANTS?

Ideal candidates for Buttock Implants will be men and women who are in good general health who want to increase fullness, roundness and projection of the buttock area. Butt implants are best for candidates who want to improve the balance of their figures, enhance their self-confidence, and have realistic expectations for yourself and your body type.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE LIKE?

Butt implants are an outpatient procedure that will allow you to be able to return home the same day. In most cases, a two- to three-inch incision will be made near the tailbone through which the implants will be inserted and placed, usually underneath each gluteus muscle. Bandages will be applied, and compression garments will likely need to be worn for a short period.

HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY?

Patients should stay home and relax for about 10-12 days before returning to work and normal activities. You should refrain from practicing sports and participating in strenuous exercise for several weeks after or until suggested that it’s safe to continue. After surgery, patients will experience some bruising and swelling, the majority of which will resolve within two weeks. Pain can be managed with prescription medication to make your healing process as pleasant as possible. It can take up to six-to-eight months for your results to “feel” like a natural part of you, although the benefits should be visible before this point. Of course, every individual recover at a different rate and your experience may vary.
